i will only wear the "jammer" type speedo. i don't quite understand the bikini type. first, if i ever wore one to a race, i'm sure they'd have me removed immediately for the sake of decency. second, if the miniscule time savings the bikini type offered ever became relevant to my back of the pack time, then i will know that it's time to get a new hobby. third, i know guys don't enjoy looking at other guys in a bikini speedo. the bad part is that most women don't enjoy it either, so what's the point?
Additonal note by blogger: I have used my 'resort board shorts' for all my swimming because I felt I looked better in them. While I don't consider myself a fatty, I have wide hips and the sterotype of atypical speedo shorts demands a 28" waist.
Luckily I found a pair of Speedos that were more like a pair of tighty whitey's than bikini briefs. Except, well their certainly not white, and that they have a second layer on them that is sorta baggy like the nylon mesh on basketball shorts. Plus I got them a size larger so they weren't so tight around the waist or as I write it 'waste'.
I've been pushing the limits of my endurance my whole life. I've been called a UNcommon man for my relentless pursuit of doing something bigger than I (or most) could possibly imagine. As a soldier, a marathoner, ironman triathlete or hiker, nothing is extreme enough. Finish lines are great, but the true adventure is what it takes to get to the starting line.

I am loving the T.A.E. posts. What a fantastic idea.
