For those of you interested in the information on the Ironman ID card, I hope this is a better link.
How dare Bolder not tell me he got based on his Florida 70.3 earlier this year. Apparently it lists all the Kona qualifiing races that you do based on signing up through Active.com
It doesn't matter if you finish the race on ly that you signed up for it. Its $7.

So you're saying we can BUY one for a mere $7? Hmm.... I think I'll spend that on a big ol' post-race margarita instead.
You only have to sign up for a race, and only a 70.3, to get a card that says you're an Ironman.
70.3 is a fantastic challenge, a great distance. I'm proud of my half IM, heck yeah!
But that doesn't make me an ironman. Nor does a $7 card you can get simply by SIGNING UP for a damn race.
SIGH. Commercialism. Maybe I'll switch from IM Florida to the Great Floridian for my first IM. This is a little crazy.
Just FYI, you don't even have to be registered for a race to get an Ironman ID. You merely have to ATTEMPT, as in hit the submit button.
I have an Ironman ID. It's just really lonely, because there isn't a race to go with it. Does that make me an Ironman? I hardly think so.
