Declaration of Intent

I'm staying on my home turf next year and completing Ironman Arizona.

It was a decision that in the end had to be made.

Aside from the Oly two weeks from now in Mexico, I have cleared my race calender of all commitments through 2007. My entire focus is to be in top physical shape for the only race and only distance that matters to me right now.

Ironman.

Nice that you'll be in phase with a bunch of your teammates training for IMAZ 2008!

Unfinished business.

But (I know you know this) don't start training now. Not that I'm a veteran, but you've been going hard a long time. Use the summer to heal. Find the fun again. Then start in earnest.

Dominate in '08!

The finish of one race isn't an ending. It's just the beginning of the next race.

I think it's a good call to get back to IMAZ and finish it on your terms and move on from there.

Note: Please archive this comment for throwing back at me should the need arise.

There it is Comm, fighting words from a fighting man, someone whom I know will not allow a temporary set back to slow him down.

Sorry, been away for a while and missed the IMAZ posts. You gave it you all, acknowledged what went wrong and what to do about it next time. Most importantly, in the midst of training and going above and beyond the common man, you kept the family firmly in the centre of what you do. You are a winner in my book anyday and I count myself among those who would do themselves some good by reflecting on what you do.

On and I am glad T-Rex Mo won. I would have voted for that too. :D Can't wait to see the enhanced photo!

Them's fightin' words fer shure.

Just remember fightin' and obsessin's two different things. One's healthy, one ain't. Get healthy, stay healthy. Take a break, then go out there and have a blast.
