some good news

The Dr. just came by. My kidneys are working now, good news. But...my CPK (a muscle/heart enzyme)(?) is too high. Normal is 250 and I am 3500. Yesterday I was over 4000. So it looks like I'm here tonight too as I probably won't get another blood draw till around 3am. I feel fine though.

Mistress brought the portable dvd player and I'm watching Eurotrip, again today. I so love this movie. This 2nd time is with the 'drinking game' commentary on disc. I am using water of course.

I also have 300 but Im saving it for a special occasion, like two o'clock, yeah that sounds like a special occasion to me.

Great to hear you're getting better! We've been thinking of you and as always, hoping for the best.

Any chance of getting that picture of you and your M-dot statue in the hospital this year? I'd figure I'd wait until I heard you were getting better before I started busting you on that one!!

Get well soon Comm!

New mission; health. "Charlie Mike, continue the mission".

Keep getting better Comm's. Your friends and family love you and hope for your speedy recovery. Here's to looking forward to 2:00. I've set an alarm on my phone so that I too can rejoice in this special occasion (and to keep you in my thoughts and heart my friend).

Yay!!! I don't have to worry any more - phew! YOU MADE US WORRY! But now you make us smile.

Enjoy your movies. Sounds like your CPK (creatine phosphokinase) is moving in the right direction.

I will set my alarm to call you at 2:15. Just 'cause I can be a jerk like that sometimes.

That's great news about your kidneys, but those are some scary CPK numbers! Glad to see them coming down, though. Keep getting better!

Don't you ever, ever do such a stupid thing again. Keeping on going when every sane synapse in everyone else's brain (and the few left by then in your own) said you should stop.

You're gonna give IronMan participants a bad name. "You should see this dumb Ironman guy that's one of my patients...why would anyone do that to himself?"

Remember some of your own criteria for defeating Common Man Syndrome: loving yourself. Having a right attitude. (Determination to attain a goal is different from determination to finish at the expense of your life.)May I add: Taking care of yourself. Realizing you have value to others and a place to fill that will be very empty if you leave it.

You've beaten the Common Man Syndrome. Now regain your sanity, get better, and don't ever, ever do such a stupid thing again.

Still love ya, though.

So happy to hear your kidneys are working again. 300 is a great movie but don't get any ideas of becoming a martyr ;-)

On another tangent, I don't suppose this is a good time to say that I couldn't stand 300 and turned it off within 15 mintues of the start....

Give me my history straight, and reasonably accurate. It's dramatic enough to stand on its own. It doesn't need to be computerized and stylized.

Take care of yourself and take your time to do it. :)

I'm glad to hear everything is getting back where it should be. Based on the numbers from the tests, you should have one primary goal. REST!

Second, fluids. I'm sure they've been taking care of that with IVs.

Now I know right about now the wheels are starting to turn in your head about trying to figure out your next workout. I know you. STOP IT and relax and rest!!! :-)

Here's a verse for you:

Eurotrip? Never heard of it, I'll have to check that out.

300 is awesome! Shouldn't you be watching something a little more relaxing though? ;-)

Get better. I imagine they'll just look for the CPK to continue to come down. I'm not a heart nurse but I don't expect it to come down too quickly.
